Romeo Health Update ❤️

Romeo is much better than he was but still not 100% yet. He has Bartonella aka cat scratch fever. We think he got it from an infected flea possibly from one of the stray cats that goes through our backyard. Then the flea came on the screen porch and bit him so we’re planning on spraying the yard for fleas. or its possible that he has had that in his system since he was a kitten and for some reason, it’s just now showing itself. Also they said humid climates up to 40% of cats are carriers of Bartonella and usually don’t show any symptoms. Or it’s possible that he might not even be sick from that and just have some kind of upper respiratory infection. They really aren’t sure. It!s kind of weird. They said we didn’t need to put him on antibiotics since he doesn’t have a fever anymore. So we’ve just been treating his other symptoms and it can take a few weeks for him to get all better.
