Quincy has been sick this week

Quincy has been sick this week. The short version, Quincy ate a bunch of the fake Christmas tree needles on Wednesday evening the 4th so I started giving him catlax. He threw up a a lot of Christmas tree needles early Thursday morning seemed normal the rest of the day and ate normally. He did not want to eat Friday hardly at all and felt very sick. Had a vet appointment Saturday early morning. X-rays did not show a blockage. Started him on meds. He seemed to get better and then worse again by Monday. Tuesday morning I took him back to the vet and he was being treated for throat pain with gabapentin and is now being treated for aspirated pneumonia. He is feeling much better as of today and is on the 4th day of doxycycline antibiotics and probiotics. Please send some love and well wishes for Quincy! 🎄 My Tree! (Pics before & after) It is coated in bitter spray to keep the cats from biting on it. In the past they would nibble on it a little bit, but not much. For some reason this year, Quincy just went nuts, wanting to eat the tree. They don’t seem to be bothered by the bitter spray at all. So as you can see from the pics, we have now put up a barrier around the tree and tried to block off the cats getting to it at all. Arya was trying to nibble the tree too. So far it seems to be working if I decide it is not I’m just going to take the tree down early this year and figure out something new for next year. I do have a camera so I can go back and see during the night if they try to mess with it or not.
