Meet Anakin! Ani is a two legged cat, born without a pelvis or back legs but that doesn't stop him. He is full of love & life! My family and I rescued Anakin and I am caring for him. Anakin has officially graduated!
Well Anakin has officially graduated! Anakin now has his Hall Bathroom, Hallway,
Living Room, Foyer & my Art Room to run around in most of the day. I
alternate between Ani & our dog Buddy having the Living room area. Anakin is
still very scared of Buddy. I know Buddy won't hurt him but Ani doesn't realize
that yet. So we are still introducing them very slowly. I want Ani to not be
scared when he is running around exploring right now so it's best I keep them
separated. I spend some time yesterday kitten proofing the house. I still
remembered all of Trixie & Pixie's hiding places when they were little and
got everything blocked off & covered. Anakin has been spending more time
with our other cats (Trixie, Pixie, George & Zoe) now too. Trixie &
Pixie don't have much to do with him but aren't hissing at him very much anymore
either. They just want to observe him from up above somewhere. Zoe doesn't want
anything to do with him right now. Zoe is the oldest. She is 14 years old &
has always been a one human only kind of cat (yes, that human would be me) Zoe
doesn't have much to do with any of the other cats either. George and Ani have
been playing some now. George can be a little rough so I always make sure he
isn't alone with Anakin so I can grab him from George if I need to. Honestly I
think George only gets rough with Ani when he won't stop the "playing". Anakin
is just constantly wanting to grab at & bite George and it gets to the point
where George just says enough. Overall I think the socializing is going really
well :)

Sounds like Anakin is bugging his big brother just like any other kitten. And George is treating him just like any other pesky little bother.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear how Ani is progressing!! I've had many kittens to incorporate into the established household and every time it's a different experience! Kittens are so much fun for us - maybe not so much for the other cats but they eventually learn to tolerate each other. Sounds like Ani is fitting in great with everyone. He is adorable and I love hearing about him. Thanks!!!
