Romeo Health Update ❤️

Romeo is much better than he was but still not 100% yet. He has Bartonella aka cat scratch fever. We think he got it from an infected flea possibly from one of the stray cats that goes through our backyard. Then the flea came on the screen porch and bit him so we’re planning on spraying the yard for fleas. or its possible that he has had that in his system since he was a kitten and for some reason, it’s just now showing itself. Also they said humid climates up to 40% of cats are carriers of Bartonella and usually don’t show any symptoms. Or it’s possible that he might not even be sick from that and just have some kind of upper respiratory infection. They really aren’t sure. It!s kind of weird. They said we didn’t need to put him on antibiotics since he doesn’t have a fever anymore. So we’ve just been treating his other symptoms and it can take a few weeks for him to get all better.

Anakin & Miko 😻 I was trying to get a good picture of both of them together. Then Quincy started meowing weird on the back porch. This is their expressions, listening to him meow. I wonder what he was saying? 😹 Miko looks so big next to Anakin. Well he is 10.6 pounds now and Anakin is around 8 pounds.

🧡 Mika & Pixie Update ❤️ & Anakin too 💙 overall they’re both doing much better and feeling tons better. Thank you so much for all the well wishes for them. We really do appreciate it. 

🧡 Mika my handsome boy, is feeling much better and eating his own food again. He still having a bit of poopy issues. In the picture above that was after his fourth bum bath since last Wednesday. We also took the clippers and scissors and gave him a sanitary cut. We trim down his pantaloons pretty short and the underside of his tail. Right now he is just taking probiotics and his prednislone.

❤️ Pixie sweetie girl, decided she did not like the lavender puffy flower cone I got for her. You may have seen it in my comments on one of the other posts. She couldn’t walk with how floppy it was down by her leg so she couldn’t go up and down the stairs by my bed. She is doing fine with the blue cone that she came home with from the Vet Hospital. She has one more week before her staples come out. Right now Pixie is just taking probiotics and will stay set up in my room for at least the next week maybe two I’m not sure yet. It depends on what the vet says once she gets her staples out. In this pic she’s getting a break from her cone to eat. I tried to leave it off while I’m in here, but the first thing she tries to do is lick her belly. So she has to wear the cone. 

💙 Anakin it is a little upset by everything going on. He loves routine and right now things have been so weird. Normally, he eats breakfast in my bedroom and hangs out in my room a lot. But it’s been hard to have him in here with Pixie set up in here with her different foods on the floor. Anakin cannot eat those foods. I do pick them up sometimes and let him come in here and sleep in his chair for a while, but it’s not the same. He’s been eating his food out in the kitchen with the other cats and he really does not like that either. I tried to have him eat in my bedroom, but then he doesn’t like how Pixie looks with her cone and that he can smell that she smells different right now . He’s such a sensitive little boy but we are making the best of it. He does get calming treats everyday and he has a nice sleeping spot on the couch that I made for him that he really likes.

It’s been very hectic around here, trying to keep up with everything for all of the cats and do everything else I need to do everyday to. I will make posts when I can about how everyone’s doing. I’m also still planning to get a  s a l e  put up on my site too. Thank you again for all your love and support. We really do appreciate it! ❤️❤️❤️

Anakin and My Cat Whisker Collection

Anakin and my cat whisker collection 😻 I’ve been collecting all of my cat’s found whiskers for many years. I finally have the purrfect place to keep them all. I found this porcelain sleeping cat at an antique store for about $10. I haven’t counted them but there’s well over 100. I don’t really know who’s are who’s other than the dark whiskers are Mika’s because everyone else only has or had white whiskers. I have whiskers from all of my cats in here and that means so much to me. I’ve also been keeping their shedded claws too but they are still in a bag till I find something purrfect to keep them in too ❤️

Anakin, Kazu & Mika say Hi! ❤️ I disrupted Ani’s nap to take this pic. Ooops! It’s ok thought he went right back to sleep. Not sure if you can tell, but he’s sleeping on top of a fluffy pillow and comforter. He looked soooo comfy! Kazu & Mika in boxes. They all love the boxes! Kazu’s Diabetes has still been pretty up-and-down since his UTI last month and treatment the beginning of this month. I am hopeful that we can get him back on track and start reducing his dose to get him into remission. Sadly, right now we did have to increase his dose so he is currently getting 2 units of Glargine twice a day. Mika is just a happy boy! His asthma had been pretty well under control. *knocks on wood*
