New Photo ~ Mika's Slipper & Anakin Website Article

Mika with his House Slipper. I'm getting video and photos together of us trying to get the slipper onto Mika's foot. I have to send them to OrthoPets so they can see how we are doing with the slipper. So far it's been a lot harder than I thought it would be. Mika doesn't want it on his foot and the way the slipper is made it's a lot harder than I thought it would be to actually get his foot into the slipper. We are definitely not giving up. We are able to send the slipper back for adjustments if after viewing the video & photos OrthoPets decides it needs to be adjusted.

New Video! Anakin Bathing Mika

What a difference a few months makes! Remember the hissing and growling Anakin did at Mika when I was first introducing them back in February? Well look at these two BFFs now. Anakin had been bathing Mika for a few minutes before I even started filming. How sweet are they! They really are just like two brothers now.

New Photo ~ Anakin at the Vet Today with a UTI

 

Anakin had a trip to the vet this morning. Here he is in the room waiting for the vet. My poor Lil Man has another UTI. He's started 2 weeks of Clavamox antibiotics today & is also back on Forta Flora probiotics too. His UTI's have always been all bacteria never any crystals in his urine. He doesn't act like he feels bad but he did start peeing outside of the litter box last night and that's always the first sign that he has a UTI. I'm just glad he did it last night so I was able to take him today before the weekend.

EDITED To Answer some Questions from Ani's Facebook page... Thank you for all of your love, help & suggestions. I will look into some of the things that have been suggested that I'm not already doing. To Answer Some Questions... All my pets drink filtered water. We have a pet fountain & it is fully cleaned often. Anakin gets extra water mixed in his wet food at all feedings & he does not eat dry food. He eats Wellness canned food. We use Yesterdays News cat litter in Tidy Cat Breeze litter boxes. Anakin has access to 5 litter boxes and a box with his pee pad. All the litter boxes are checked & cleaned twice a day or more if needed. Anakin does not usually set his privates on the floor most of the time he sits on his tail and it covers them. I keep my floors clean and vacuum often. Anakin is on Clavamox because it works well for him, he has had reactions like diarrhea when we tried other antibiotics. It think that covered most of the questions I saw ;) Thank you again for all of your love, support & suggestions for Anakin :)

New Photo ~ Anakin & Mika "The Chair" Update Mika's House Slipper

 

Anakin & Mika relaxing in "The Chair" :) Mika's House Slipper from OrthoPets has arrived!! I will get some photos of it to post soon. We haven't put it on Mika yet. Right now we are just letting him smell it, putting it near him & petting him with it to get it to smell more like him and less like the rubbery smell it has now. I have instructions on how to start putting it on him and a two break in period of wearing it for a little while here and there before he can wear it full time ( 8-10 hours a day at the most). I can also send it back for adjustments if we need to as well. We are just going to take things really slow with this and see how it goes.
