Anakin by the fire & UTI again

Anakin warming himself by our fireplace heater 😊❤ Long story short, Anakin had another UTI last week (his last one was just in September). We did the usual treatment of antibiotics, probiotics, anti-inflammatory shot and some nausea med when he needed it. We decided to try and slowly switch him over to a urinary health food to hopefully keep him from getting so many UTIs. So far so good. He likes the little bit of the Royal Canin Urinary SO Morsels with Gravy mixed with his current food. I was hoping that Mika would also like it since he eats the dry food version. Nope, for some reason Mika just doesn't like wet food. Anakin had his urine rechecked today and all came back normal! Yay! However he does have a little bit of a cold from getting stressed out at the vet last week. He's doing fine though and getting lots of extra love and cuddles.

Mika Has Kitty Asthma

Mika ❤️ has been to the vet twice in the last week. We think he has a little bit of Kitty Asthma going on. He has always been a weird noisy breather to me but last week it was a lot louder and his chest was moving a lot more. He even had a few coughing fits & overall didn't seem like he was feeling his best. Our vet put him on a steroid for the week & he had a recheck on Monday. He is feeling & breathing much better now. I am weaning him off the steroid right now. We hope this was just a little flair-up and doesn't happen again. However if it does I have the steroid for him. Also if he did continue to have this problem we have talked about an inhaler with the aerocat chamber but we aren't there yet. We think maybe the change in weather caused Mika's flair-up. Do any of your kitties have Asthma? How are they doing with it?

Our Betta Fish Mr Red

I never shared Mr Red! He was the saddest, sickest, sitting in a dirty bowl with not enough water, Betta Fish at the store & I just couldn't leave him there. Mr Red now has his own fancy little tank on my art desk. He's much happier & the cats all love him! My Fantasy Cat Art- https://Tigerpixie.com
