Anakin & Zoe

Thank you all for the well wishes for Pensacon! The show was great & it's my favorite because it's right here in my home town so I am at home each night. Anakin is doing great. He's back to his normal bratty self picking on Mika, Trixie & Pixie whenever he gets a chance. I have noticed the twitching just a little bit at random times but he isn't bothered by it at all. Now for the sad news. My sweet Zoe is in kidney failure. She will be 18 years old in a few months. I am trying a few different things my vet recommend to see if her high numbers in her bloodwork will come down and she will start feeling better. She has gone for subcutaneous fluids twice this week and is now on a Hills K/D diet. So far she seems to feel a little bit better than she did earlier this week. I love her so much and I want her to have the best quality of life. Also with her age I don't want to be doing a lot of medical treatments on her that stress her out and make her upset and miserable. I'm hoping she will improve even more over the weekend. I will keep you all posted.

  1. Carrie, so glad your art show went well and that Ani is back to his normal self. That's what little brothers do--pick on their siblings!!
However, so sorry Zoe is experiencing kidney failure. Will keep her in my prayers that fluids and diet will improve her condition.

  2. I'm sending lots of purrs to Zoe. <3

  3. Oh, Zoe, I'm so sorry for you :((
    Get well soon!

  4. We will be thinking about you all. And keep little Zoe in our prayers.

  5. I hope Zoe is feeling better, such a worry when they reach that age and things go wrong. Glad Anakin is doing well.
    Sending love from Scotland!

  6. As usual, I am late on my emails and just saw this, and am so sad to hear about Zoe's declining! My prayers are going out to her to be better and comfortable for as long as she has. They are sure like our children, aren't they. It is so hard! My love and purrs to you and your baby Zoe! Kathy PS, Little Ani, comfort your sister, please!
