Our little one had a rough night last night. She had really bad diarrhea. I gave her subQ fluids and Pedialyte. I took her back to the vet as soon as they open this morning. On the way there she finally pooped out a mass of dead roundworms! Our vet gave her more fluids and started her on a med for her diarrhea. We also switched her food which has helped a lot. She think that the AD was too much for her a little system to handle. She did get A bath today since she was such a mess from the diarrhea. So far the diarrhea has stopped. She spent the day at the vet and looks and acts like she feels so much better now. I brought her home tonight. I will be bringing her back in the morning. I have to go out of town for an art convention that I've had scheduled for a year. I'll be at Dragoncon in Atlanta GA. Our little one is going to be staying through Labor Day weekend until I get home with the amazing wonderful ladies at my vet's office. She will be watched over and taken care of at the vets office during the day when they're open. Then when they close she will be going home with one of the vet techs for the night. I think a couple of the nice ladies will be taking turns. My mother is in town and on call if they need her. I will be getting updates from these wonderful ladies and my vet while I'm away. My son & mom will be taking care of Anakin, Mika, Trixie & Pixie. It's going to be a very hectic weekend for me. I will try and keep you updated if there is anything. Thank you all so much for all of your love and support for us with our new baby. You all really are the best! This pic is from last night before she started feeling worse. As of right now we are leaning towards Arya for her name but it's not decided. She really is a scrappy little survivor! Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Have fun & Stay Safe!
I thought you were cool cause your obviously an ailurophile. But dragoncon, you are most cool. Good luck and better health for you and your family. Keep posting.
ReplyDeletePoor baby - I'm glad she is feeling better. I know she just needs to get over this rough patch, and I'm so happy to know she will be getting such good care from the vet clinic while you are busy with the convention.
ReplyDeleteCarrie, so sorry to hear about the new baby's problems. Sounds as if she is in good hands with your vet. Will keep her in my prayers. Have a good trip to GA, and Happy Labor Day.
