My sweet Zoe

I'm heartbroken to tell you that today we helped Zoe pass over the rainbow bridge. Over the passed week she began to feel so much worse, didn't want to eat hardly at all and absolutely hated us giving her fluids & my trying to feed her. We tried a few meds that our vet suggested for her appetite & nausea but they didn't help. She was miserable and I couldn't let her feel that way or keep doing things to her that she hates. Zoe spent her last days in my lap & nights sleeping by my head & knowing how much we all love her. She was my cuddling lap kitty and I feel so lucky to have had so many years with her. She was the last of our original 4 cats. She joins Leo, Pookie Bear, Tabby & George at the rainbow bridge. We will see you all again someday Zoe. Until then we Love you so much & miss you already. Anakin's Cards & Zoe Update

Ani with some cute Get Well Soon cards he got when he was sick. Thank you so much for the cards, Sandy, Frank, Big Mama, Two Dots, Wally, P.J. & Melanie, Loki, Gracie, Isadore & Molly! :) Anakin doesn't get mail much anymore so this was such a nice surprise! Zoe update, she is really liking the new food and feeling much better. I took her for fluids today. Since she is getting them Mon, Wed & Fri,  I had them teach me how to give her the fluids. I think it will take me a few times to get good at it & I'm going to need help for my hubby or son but hopefully I'll be able to do this. Also I want to thank Heather for the package with food for Zoe. I really do appreciate it so much!! <3 Thank you again for all the well wishes for Zoe! :)

Anakin & Zoe

Thank you all for the well wishes for Pensacon! The show was great & it's my favorite because it's right here in my home town so I am at home each night. Anakin is doing great. He's back to his normal bratty self picking on Mika, Trixie & Pixie whenever he gets a chance. I have noticed the twitching just a little bit at random times but he isn't bothered by it at all. Now for the sad news. My sweet Zoe is in kidney failure. She will be 18 years old in a few months. I am trying a few different things my vet recommend to see if her high numbers in her bloodwork will come down and she will start feeling better. She has gone for subcutaneous fluids twice this week and is now on a Hills K/D diet. So far she seems to feel a little bit better than she did earlier this week. I love her so much and I want her to have the best quality of life. Also with her age I don't want to be doing a lot of medical treatments on her that stress her out and make her upset and miserable. I'm hoping she will improve even more over the weekend. I will keep you all posted.

Anakin is still doing great! Just a little bit of twitching off and on. It's not getting any worse though so that's good. I'll be super busy for the next week so it will be quiet on here. I've got a convention this weekend to sell my art at that I'm preparing for right now (Pensacon). Here's handsome Anakin! :) You can see where his belly fur was shaved in this pic. No worries it will grow back quickly. Have a great week everyone!!
