Anakin Vet Visit & Mischievous Ani!

Ankin looking a little mischievous! Ani had a visit at the vet today. Over the weekend I noticed that his gums were a little red down by his gum line. It turns out he has a little bit of Gingivitis going on. So he is on an antibiotic for 10 days and will start eating a few Tarter Control Treats a day to help his gums. I also had his poop check for worms and Parasites since it's been a few months since his last check. Those tests all came back negative. Also our vet thinks she can feel Anakin's absent testicles inside. So we are just going to give them more time to hopefully work their way out on their own. Anakin was weighed today too and he now weighs whopping 5 pounds! :)

    Oh poor Ani, I'm so sorry you are having trouble, but the vet will fix you right up. Love the latest pics of you, am adding them to your own little album on my computer. Carrie, what was his weight on his first visit to the vet? He is really doing so well! We have those tartre control treats for Callie, too. She loves them! Hope his testicles come down. I guess then he will have to be neutered. Ah, there is always something. As you well know. Love, hugs and purrs, Kathy

      Thank you so much Kathy! His weight was 1.02 pounds! He was such a tiny little guy! :) I hope his boy bits show up too so he can be neutered normally too *fingers & toes crossed* xoxo

    The poor thing sits where his "thingies" would be and without his hind legs to protect them I wouldnt want mine to descend either ;)

      LOL! Well Brian you are right! ;) The problem with Anakins boy bits staying inside of him is that they will be more likely to develop cancer when he gets older. So we are really hoping they find their way out so he can be neutered normally. If they don't he may require an ultrasound and then surgery to cut them out and I really don't want that to happen.

    That's great he's put on weight,he's doing so well now.i'm sure his gums will clear up quickly with the antibiotics and hopefully his 'bits' will appear in the next wee while!
