ReplyDeleteI think it is great what you are doing. Below I have translated what the Swedish paper's report said about you and Anakin. Happy New Year to both you and Anakin from Cathy and her cat Julia in Sweden.
Unofficial translation of the text from the report in the newspaper Expressen: "The cat Anakin was born with only 2 legs. This little cat shows that it is absolutely possible to live with only 2 paws. The cat was born without pelvis and rear legs but he hops, plays and runs exactly like a normal cat. Anakin was a homeless kitten in Florida which started to show up with a group of feral cats outside Carrie Hawks' father's work place. Carrie's father gave the animals food, but when Carrie one time accompanied he father she could not resist the little kitten with no rear legs. She adopted him and took him home. However, since she already had 4 cats she had a little difficulty convincing her husband that Anakin should be allowed to move in. Carrie said that her husband could name the kitten whatever he wanted. And since her husband was a star wars fan, the cat was named Anakin Skywalker. The owner guesses that Anakin was born approximately in the middle of April and she has documented his development in a number of film clips which are available on YouTube. A few days ago the cat celebrated his first Christmas. Anakin also has his own facebook page which has become extremely popular. Currently over 35 thousand people have 'liked' the page. As things are now, Anakin can run around and move with out problems, but Carie writes that in the future she is thinking about getting him a little wheelchair which will assist him in getting around as he gets older. She has also built small ramps in her home so that the cat can more easily climb up onto couches, beds and window sills."

I would also like to have a cat, but I can not take them because my apartment does not take any animals :'( Your Anakin is so so fundeful wonderful and cute!! <3<3<3 how wonderful it is to see that cat can walk with only two legs.
